Joel de Jesus grew up in Point Hope, Alaska, a whaling community 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle.  His family moved away when he was in the sixth grade, and he never went back—until now, 15 years later, he decided to return to document Qagruq, Point Hope's annual whaling feast.

This film premiered at the Anchorage Museum on August 5, 2016.
